I Met Someone Yesterday
I met Someone yesterday
She was really nice,
Not what I expected her to be…
I met Someone yesterday
She was little strange
But she was Someone I liked,
She was caring and loving
She believed in true friends
She trusted everyone and
Looked only the good in all the people she met.
I met Someone yesterday
She was plain and simple
She believed in herself
And enjoyed each and every moment
She was Someone who didn’t
Know about the harsh realities of the world.
I met Someone yesterday
She was Someone I once knew well
She was not what I expected her to be
She was the same as she was before.
She told me she’d been watching me from afar
And thought she’d pay me a visit
She told I was falling deeper and deeper
Into Someone I’m not.
I met Someone yesterday
That person was Me,
The person I was trying to hide from myself and the world.
You know what else she told me,
She told me she wanted to be out
She did not want to be hidden
For the world to not see her.
